Where we work
Service areas
Ten towns, all within a morning’s drive of our Nanaimo base. Cedar, Ladysmith and Chemainus lie to the south. Lantzville, Nanoose Bay, Parksville and Qualicum Beach run north along the Strait, and Coombs and Errington sit inland, where acreages back onto the forest.
Nanaimo
Shade from tall firs, damp air off the harbour and roofs from each stage of the city's growth: we take moss off Nanaimo roofs and paths by hand, matched to each house.
Read more →Lantzville
Tall fir and cedar keep Lantzville roofs in shade through the wet months, and sea air keeps them damp. We take the moss off by hand, house and outbuildings alike.
Read more →Nanoose Bay
Dry rock and arbutus on the peninsula, tall fir inland. Nanoose roofs grow moss in pockets, so we find the damp faces first and clear them by hand.
Read more →Parksville
Parksville is sunnier than most of the coast, so its moss grows where the shade is: under fir near Rathtrevor, along the river and on low ranchers. We clear it by hand.
Read more →Qualicum Beach
Old fir, shaded north slopes and a soaking winter give moss an easy life here. We scrape it off by hand, treat what is left and keep your walkways safe underfoot.
Read more →Cedar
River fog, deep forest and open shoreline all sit within a few kilometres here. We clear moss from homes, barns and shops by hand and plan around rainwater tanks.
Read more →Chemainus
Damp air off Stuart Channel, tall fir around the parks and roofs that have seen many winters all grow moss here. We lift it by hand, then treat what is left.
Read more →Coombs
A house cut into second-growth fir gets sun in July and almost none in January. We take the moss off every roof on the lot by hand and treat what the scraper leaves.
Read more →Errington
Inland frost, deep shade and three or four roofs on one lot. We clear moss from the house, the shop and the woodshed, and plan any treatment around your well.
Read more →Ladysmith
A hillside town facing the harbour, with old houses near downtown and big trees on the inland edge. We lift the moss by hand and treat what is left.
