What we do
Moss removal services
Most jobs start on the roof, where moss does the most damage. The other services deal with what grows below it: on the driveway, the front steps and the window frames, and on a roof that needs treating so the moss comes back more slowly.
Roof Moss Removal
Moss soaks up rain, pries up shingle edges and lets frost open the gaps. We lift it off by hand with plastic scrapers and soft brushes, never with a pressure washer.
- Asphalt shingle roof moss removal
- Cedar shake roof moss removal
- Concrete tile and metal roof moss removal
- Commercial and strata roof moss removal
Roof Cleaning
Black streaks, crusty lichen and needle piles in the valleys are not moss, and each needs a gentler wash than people expect. Here is how we clean a whole roof without a pressure washer.
- Black algae streak removal
- Lichen treatment on shingles, tile and shake
- Valley, chimney and skylight debris clearing
- Low-pressure soft wash of the whole roof
Roof Demossing
What happens between our truck pulling up and the last tarp coming off your flower beds, told from the homeowner's side, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
- Hand scraping and soft-brushing of roof moss
- Moss cleared from valleys, hips and ridge caps
- Treatment of the root traces left in the shingle surface
- Covering garden beds, ponds and downspout outlets during the work
Moss Treatment & Prevention
Regrowth is normal on this coast. Treatment timed to dry weather, zinc strips, shade advice and short follow-up visits decide how fast the green comes back.
- Post-clean roof moss treatment
- Zinc strip fitting along the ridge
- Shade and overhanging branch assessment
- Treatment timed to the dry months
Driveway & Sidewalk Moss Removal
Wet moss turns a sloped driveway, a set of steps or a shaded path into a slip risk. We wash it off at low pressure first and raise it only where the surface needs it.
- Concrete driveway moss and algae removal
- Exposed aggregate driveway cleaning
- Paver patio and walkway moss removal
- Front and back step moss clearing
Window Moss Removal
The moss that harms a window grows in the frame, not on the glass: along the sill, down the sliding track and inside the little drain slots that let water out.
- Moss and grit cleared from exterior sills and frame corners
- Sliding window and patio door tracks cleaned out
- Weep holes opened and tested with water
- Green film taken off lower trim and sill noses
Shingles and shakes are cleared by hand. Our washing is low pressure by default; higher pressure comes out only where the job needs it, like concrete driveways and walkways.
